We are thrilled to share highlights from the successful CYPHER 1st General Meeting, held from April 10th to 12th, 2024. Hosted by Tine Seljak and his team from the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, the event brought together over 120 participants from 36 countries to explore cutting-edge research and foster collaboration to decarbonise energy-intensive industries.
The agenda featured an exciting lineup of keynote speakers, workshops, and roundtable discussions focused on the theme of “Digitalization for the Decarbonization of Energy-Intensive Industries.” Renowned experts such as Elena Verdolini, Fabian Mauss, Matthias Ihme, Paola Cinnella and Miguel Alfonso Mendez delivered thought-provoking presentations, while interactive workshops provided attendees with learning opportunities.
Participants had the opportunity to showcase their research through engaging poster sessions and actively participate in roundtable discussions on various topics, facilitating knowledge exchange and networking among peers.
In addition to the intellectually stimulating sessions, attendees enjoyed delicious meals and refreshments throughout the event. A highlight was the elegant dinner held at a historic castle, providing the perfect setting for networking and socializing.
While we celebrate the success of the CYPHER 1st General Meeting, we also recognize the importance of feedback in shaping future events. We invite participants to share their thoughts and suggestions to help us improve and deliver even more impactful gatherings in the future.
Thank you to all participants, speakers, and organizers for making the CYPHER 1st General Meeting a memorable and enriching experience. Stay tuned for updates on future events and opportunities to continue the conversation!
